You may remember Walker (aka "Walker B") from previous posts. Really, how could you forget him? He's a little man about town, full of smiles, mischief, and brainiac activities galore. And now, we'll add "big brother" to his resume. His precious newborn sister, Ayla, has come into this world and she is the perfect yin to his yang. Or yang to his yin. Whatever the case, she is a bundle of CUTE and completes the darling Spence family.

After trying (the fun way) and trying again (the not fun way that involves shots and way more doctor visits than any human should be asked to attend), and prayer, and bed-rest, and some scares and more prayers, Miss Scarlett is here. Kelly, Joseph, and Mason, I am so so SO happy for you. She is gorgeous and snuggable and just divine!

What an incredible honor it is to photograph the second baby to be born into a family! I mean, yes...it's super fabulous to photograph the first born. The emotions that surround that event can't be topped. But getting to capture the new love that is the second born is different. Not only do I get to focus on all of the tiny baby goodness that the newborn brings to the table, but I get to witness the first born's reactions and responses to him or her. It's a very layered situation. It's like a three part harmony...complicated, but breathtakingly beautiful. And now, I am missing the Dixie Chicks. Man, they owned the three part harmony. I digress.
Watching Sophie interact with newborn Amelia was delightful. Watching Mie Mie and Brad watch Sophie interact with newborn Amelia was hilarious. It's these types of intricacies that make moments magical. This is one of my favorite families ever, and I'm so blessed that they let me in to observe and document their intimate moments together. Thanks, Mie Mie and Brad!

This is quite possibly the happiest baby boy I've ever met. Griffin is UP. FOR. ANYTHING. He's cool to take a stroll in the park. He's down for wearing vintage clothes or reading books or just playin' with his toes. I THINK I discovered his most favorite thing to do, though. G Dawg loves looking at himself in the mirror. I would, too, if I was a cute as he is!
