Last weekend, my friend Joanna and I took Millie and Joanna's son, Jack (Millie's future husband, or one of them, as she claims...yikes) to watch TCU pulverize Colorado State at Amon Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. Joanna's alma mater is pretty small, so she never really got the whole football fantabulous experience so I had to break her in. What did I do for her first visit? Made her run the field...the entire thing...with the kids at the start of the game. Purses in hand, we ran like somebody was chasing us, and I think ol' Gary Patterson took notice. If Jeremy Kerley ever slacks, I'm pretty sure GP's gonna call on us.
We had such a great time together, and I was extremely proud of my school for not only whipping hiney on the field but for being chock full of cool people to play host to my buddies. I'm hoping to get the rest of Joanna's fam to join us at the next home game!
