One of the cutest couples to ever grace the planet, Jennie + Kris were hitched last month at the gorgeous Montecito Country Club. How many times can I say I adore them without you all getting nauseated? I adore them. Did that push you over the edge? If it did, too bad. Jennie + Kris and their wonderfully warm family members and righteously rowdy friends created such a festive atmosphere that even Debbie Downer, Snow White's little friend Grumpy, and Archie Bunker would have surely been bustin' a move. I mean, true love, a double rainbow, an ice cream sundae bar, a father-daughter dance to a song Jennie's dad recorded for her, a trolley, amazing lighting and decor, killer cake, and some of the coolest people I've worked with...who could ask for more?
Thanks to Samantha Warren for joining me on this photographic adventure as my second shooter. Not only did we have a fabulous time exploring Santa Barbara in our down time, but she worked her patootie off covering Kris and his boys before the wedding. Brilliant work, my friend!
Also, a big shout out to Kerry Lee Dickey of Santa Barbara Wine Country Weddings and Events for creating a glamorous and heartfelt event that was truly reflective of Jennie + Kris. I hope to work with you again in the future, girlfriend!
Best wishes to you, Jennie + Kris, and you can count on a visit from me + the fam in D.C. in the future. Can't wait to keep up with you two. HUGS!

(08.20.10 @ 12:53 PM)Kate, I can always count on your blog when I'm needing a little eye candy. These are beyond fantastic! Thank you for sharing so many wonderful captures with your readers.
(08.18.10 @ 09:11 AM)Blue shoes, perfect! Dancing bridesmaid...a total winner! Love the wedding guest going for the bouquet. I see some more awards in your future my dear! Fantastic job.

(08.15.10 @ 09:48 PM)Wow!!! I feel like I was a guest at this event just from the pics. :) And the MOB is right on. At the end of the day, all you have left are the photos. Glad they picked the best photog. LOOOVE those blue shoes, by the way!
(08.15.10 @ 06:36 PM)This was one of the loveliest families with whom I have worked. And this was one of the classiest, most polished and lovely photographers and talents with whom I have ever worked. Kate, you were incredible. Your calm, joyful and stealth presence the day of the wedding is only rivaled by the "art" that you produce that tells the soul - the real story - of the day as it unfolded. You are incredible and I cannot thank you enough.
(08.14.10 @ 01:01 PM)As the MOB, I know that finding the RIGHT photographer is almost as critical as the bride finding the RIGHT groom (well, not quite, but pretty important to the process, nonetheless). Jennie hit a home run on both counts! Your photos truly capture what was for all of us the PERFECT wedding. While I know you're not totally responsible for the rainbows, you captured them---and the rest of this marvelous event magnificently.
(08.13.10 @ 09:45 AM)Thank you so much for capturing the memories of two wonderful young people incredibly happy together, surrounded by those who love them and wanted to share their special day with them---and each other!
Hannah-Beth Jackson , the almost recovered MOB
Kate -- one of the best decisions I've ever made (next to sticking with Kris, of course!) was to hire you to shoot our wedding. Not only did I get a photographer who is so incredibly talented, but I got a friend. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for agreeing to come to Santa Barbara and help share the joy of our wedding. I love every. single. one. of these photos and am so lucky that I get to re-live the day over and over again each time I look at them. MUAH!! xoxo
(08.13.10 @ 03:23 AM)Well done Kate! The second and third to last are KILLER. Great wedding guests - great captures. The kiss in the trolley makes my heart fly.
(08.12.10 @ 07:33 PM)indeed, a splendid job!!! LOVE
(08.12.10 @ 04:18 PM)WOW...these are stellar, Kate! The two reception photos, one of the girl dancing and the other holding her hands out in the light, are award winning!! Good job and congrats to the happy couple!
