Welcome!
I'm so very ecstatic that you decided to join the party.  It is my life's passion to keep you entertained through my photographs of babies, my family, and pretty much anything that moves me, as well as my work as a branding expert.

Stick around and become part of the family.
Come early, come often, leave comments.

So, slightly over a year ago, I photographed something that catapulted my growth as a photographer.  Little Carson Richardson passed away at the age of 6, and I photographed the events surrounding the celebration of his life.  The memory of Carson still exists in every second of the Richardson family's life, and he will never be replaced.  His memory is only made stronger by the addition of baby Caroline to the Richardson clan.

Sweet Caroline is one of the funniest, sunniest babies I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  Her bright blue eyes light up a room, and her many, many expressions tell me that she is going to be full of personality!  She's a bit bohemian in nature, as she prefers to be OUT of her cute little outfits and matching headbands, but I'll take her either way.  So will her big brother, Collin.  My favorite images from this set are the ones of the two of them.  I can already see that he is going to be there for her through thick and thin, and he's going to teach her the ways of the world like no one else could even imagine.  Their bond is inspiring, and I hope I get to stick around and photograph them as they grow old together.

Miss Caroline, you are every bit a doll, and I am honored to have taken your picture.  Mwah!

Please leave a comment for the Richardson family!

Thank you for sharing these fantastic pictures Kimberly! I love them all, but if I had to pick my favorite, I'd have to agree with Kate-the one's with Collin are my favorite. You have to do something special with the one with their feet-you'll look back and be amazed at how little Caroline's squishy little feet were!
Kate, you did an amazing job. Bless you for capturing these special times for the Richardsons, and keeping Carson right where he should be-in the middle of his FAMILY!

Thanks for sharing Kimberly! I agree with Kate, they are all magnificant , but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the one's with Collin. You have to keep the one with the feet-you'll look back at that one day and see how amazingly little those squishy feet were!!
Kate, you did an amazing job and your words brought me to tears. Bless you for capturing these special times for the Richardsons and keeping Carson right where he should be-right in the middle of his FAMILY.

Though they were married in Hawaii earlier this year, Lacey + Scott held a quaint reception at Gather in Downtown McKinney this summer.  Emily Youngblood of Blessed Unions did a stellar job coordinating the event, and Holly Viles knocked it out of the freaking park with her floral design.

I had a ton of fun playing fly on the wall as I watched Lacey + Scott and their friends and family interact, dance, and engage in general silliness.  This bunch was lively, welcoming, and full of Southern charm.  Here are a few of my favorite frames from the evening!

Love it. Millie is beautiful! I love watching her grow on your blog. But why do they have to grow so fast? It's hard to not want to "push pause" every once in a while.

There's no one in their right mind who would want to willingly leave that sweet face all day! Kate, you are amazing to be able to put your thoughts and emotions into coherent sentences right now. I love that Millie will be able to look back someday and read your sweet words. And she'll no doubt still think you are beautiful. Praying this transition gets easier for you!

Kate, you are obviously an amazing Mom, which in turn has helped to create this wonderful little girl you have! You write so eloquently and so from the heart that you put tears in my eyes when I read what you have to say about your family! And I've never even met them! Hugs to you as Millie gets on the bus to go to Kindergarten, you will be amazed at how fast the day goes by and how great it feels when she comes home with that beautiful smile telling you fun stories about her day!

Can you HEAR her laugh through these images?  I know I can.  Dahlia might be one of the most happy-go-lucky babies I've ever been around.  After she decided my camera was not a robot from Planet Scarethebaby, we were besties and she tossed at least a hundred good smiles my way.  Cute Miss Dahlia loves her mama and daddy and especially her "brother" Winston, and I am so glad I was able to photograph her again.

Fantastic photos - Kate you do great work and I know Dahlia is quite the model - those bright eyes and chunky cheeks - to die for. My favourite one...very hard to pick...but I love the toes - with her on her back...but Winston chomping on her bow...and her handing the camera...grass...takes the prize in my eyes.

Ya know what I love?  I love it when clients love color and character and ESPECIALLY when they aren't afraid to get personal.  In fact, I love it when they are EXCITED to get personal.  That would be these two kids.  Meet Gina + Jason.  They live in Austin and are two of my favorite clients yet.

We met down on South 1st for some true Austin flavah.  Yeah, we hit up a few of the classic South 1st haunts, but instead of going for the obvious, we worked around them and came up with something even better.  (Like in this first image, most photographers take their clients to this wall for the Austin sign.  However, I was obsessed with the doors and made them mine.)

Then, it got real.  Jason told me about the place where he and Gina had their first date---Eastside Cafe.  Apparently Gina out-lunched Jason, and he was hella impressed.  (HOW ON EARTH DID SHE EAT MORE THAN HIM?  She's freaking TINY!  Hollow leg, I suppose.)  We scooted over to the East Side and hung out with some chickens.

Then, it got really, really personal.  And...there was hiking.  Big day for me, people.  The sweet couple took me to the 360 Bridge atop a cliff where Jason proposed to Gina.  They told me the story of how their loved ones surrounded them that day atop the cliff, and my heart literally skipped a beat.  I feel so privileged to have witnessed the exact spot where they got engaged!

Thanks, G + J, for a fabulous engagement session.  It was a ton of fun, and I can't wait to see you guys again!
