Jennie contacted me a while back after seeing her Princeton Kappa Kappa Gamma sister, Carissa's wedding images. Though she was attending law school at Georgetown and was no where near Texas, she booked me from afar. Even further was her wedding location, which was to take place at Montecito Country Club in Santa Barbara, California! Instantly, upon reading Jennie's email, I knew we would be a perfect fit.
Jennie is the kind of girl who loves to write in ALL CAPS if necessary and does not shy away from exclamation points, JUST LIKE ME!!!!! When she told me her love story with Kris, our connection got even stronger. As she spoke of his kindness and gregarious personality and all of the thoughtfulness he has put into their romance, I was sold. They are the ideal, people. The real deal ideal. Sweet, considerate, effervescent, highly intelligent, self-deprecating and as witty as the day is long, and completely over the moon in love with each other...to me, that describes the perfect couple. Here they are!

I told them during their shoot that they reminded me of an old married couple, but I meant it in the BEST possible light. They just match. There is no awkwardness or lack of communication or any of that crap that new couples deal with. It is as if Chrissie and Dan have known each other for decades and know all about what makes each other tick, and they are simultaneously enamored with one another as if they are within the first weeks of dating. Perfection. Love them, and truly hope that we remain friends long after their wedding!

She is one of the kindest, most thoughtful brides I have ever worked with, and he is a true blue gentleman. The way they interact tells me that even non-believers would have to agree that God planned for these two kids to be together. They just MAKE SENSE and are perfect for each other. Their parents should be so proud for ten million reasons!
I'll hopefully be able to show you more of their engagement session after their wedding, but for now, here are two of my favorite images that still allow this sweet couple to live in anonymity*.

I cannot wait to capture all of the little moments of their big day and get to meet (and catch up with) all of their family members.
