Welcome!
I'm so very ecstatic that you decided to join the party.  It is my life's passion to keep you entertained through my photographs of babies, my family, and pretty much anything that moves me, as well as my work as a branding expert.

Stick around and become part of the family.
Come early, come often, leave comments.

A few weeks ago, we attended Millie's Winter Ballet Recital.  Of course, she did great and had a blast with all of her little friends in her class.  Millie is just waiting for the day when she can play the part of Clara in the Nutcracker, which will never happen since we live in the suburbs.  Sigh.  I want all of her dreams to come true, but how can I possibly do that without moving mountains?  In the meantime, we are looking for a new dance studio.  If you've got any ideas for me, I'm all ears.

Bucket list.  Life to-do list.  My 101 in 1001.  Whatever you want to call it, it's a never ending quest to better yourself, challenge yourself, and possibly reach out to others.  A few years ago, Bobby and I went out to dinner at Cafe Malaga in downtown McKinney, and made our lists.  A lot of my line items were pretty standard.  A LOT were also VERY random, which shouldn't be a surprise if you know me.  I've got lots of tricks up my sleeves and my mind works in interesting ways...some call it weird;  I prefer original.

One of my more random goals was to photograph Bettye Honerkamp, the owner of Brenham's Pecan Corner, in her workplace.  I've known Bettye since I was in middle school (or possibly before), as she is a loyal and devoted member of the church in which I was raised (can I get a what-what!  BEST CHURCH EVER), Brenham Presbyterian Church.  While I was in town photographing Casey + Billy's wedding and Leah + Corey's family, I thought I'd squeeze in this little side project and cross it off of my list.  So glad the stars aligned and that Millie, Bobby, and my mom got to join in the fun!

Sometimes, I can't believe I made her.  There is a reason we stopped at one child.  To us, she is perfection.

Though I'm fairly certain the main reason Millie chose this year's Halloween costume was the clip-on dangly earrings, I have to say that she is a budding Rachel Zoe minus the scrawnier than a chicken bone part.  Her fashion sense is at times way beyond her years, and her vision and execution of her costume was no exception.  She wanted ringlets like Shirley Temple, and of course---red lipstick.  It just wouldn't be the same without it.

For the trick-or-treating part of our evening, we ventured over to our friends the Seale's house.  We grubbed on some pizza, and then made our way to a Halloween party where we were greeted by a very scary monster!  After cupcakes and cookies were ingested, the boys' parents---Kristan and Jake, Bobby, and I took Millie, Jackson, Wyatt, and Bo trick-or-treating.  I think that the boys were genuinely interested in the candy, but Millie was just running for governor, as usual.  You know the drill...kissin' babies, shakin' hands, etc.  I think she honestly got the biggest thrill out of introducing herself door-to-door, and explaining her costume.  I haven't given her the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator test, but I'm guessin' she is off the freaking charts Extraverted.  Gee, I wonder where she gets that?  I have to say, her dentist will thank her for being more into social interaction than candy...no tooth decay here!

No, not a line backer.  A PUSHER.  As in...a brainwasher.  A seller of TCU's fabulousness.  An evangelist of the best football team in Texas, thank you very much.  I mean, what other 5 year old wakes up and chants through the house, "Jeremy Kerley!  Clap, clap, clap-clap-clap!  Jeremy Kerley!  Clap, clap, clap-clap-clap!"?  Of course, she's gotta tell all of her friends about it, and even begs them to come along to Fort Worth with us for the home games.

Recently, she took her school buddy Marley.  We love us some Mar.  She's like a little puppy who gets excited about nearly everything, and she's too cute to boot.  Mills and Mar get along like peas and carrots and we couldn't have been more thrilled to show her what TCU football is all about...well, that AND the wonderful concessions that they offer!  What kid can resist popsicles and pretzels and face paint?  Add all of that to a big win, and man, what a perfect day!

Although I am STOKED OUT OF MY MIND to go to San Francisco right before Christmas, a part of me is really craving to get back to NYC.  I heart it.  Completely.  And when I think about it, I often think of my last moments there that just happened to be with Millie.

Bobby was super sick and holed up in the hotel room, so Mills and I skipped out to grab a girly brunch at Sarabeth's Central Park South.  She brought her new custom Barbie from FAO Schwarz, natch...who hung out in a fancy teacup as we dined...natch.  Millie ordered what she described as "the best French toast EVER", and I gorged myself on lemon ricotta pancakes that were worth every penny of my flight ticket.  (Crap, now I'm hungry.)

NYC, I'm gonna visit you again soon.  I promise.  This long distance relationship is wearing on me.
