FINALLY. It's here. I know Ashley + Bob and their friends and family have been cursing my name, waiting for this post. Although...maybe not. Ashley's dad DID say I was his fourth daughter, and you wouldn't curse your own "kid", right?
Well, if there is ever a family to be adopted into, it's this one. The Waltons and the Sines are among the most welcoming people I have worked with, and I feel so honored to have been chosen to tell this love story. It was not without mishaps (read: the church lady at Highland Park Methodist Church is the WORST EVER and completely power tripped her way into almost ruining the ceremony), but I waded through those stormy waters to narrate the beauty that is Ashley + Bob. The union of this TCU Horned Frog and SMU Mustang was as sweet as can be, despite the iron skillet rivalry. Ashley even put her TCU pride aside (just for a second) to bring Peruna, the SMU mascot, to the reception site for Bob's wedding present. How selfless is that?! Sigh. Love conquers all...even diehard football rivalries.

Hi all! I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be heading out to San Francisco today to attend a photography workshop and won't be returning till Thursday night. So, it finally happened. One of my favorite couples ever got hitched. I am so thrilled for my sorority sister, Heather + Ben that they are officially husband and wife and can continue their journey together. The entire day I spent with them was truly a JOYOUS occasion. No drama. Only sweet interactions by all involved. No stress. Perfect. The resulting images from their wedding day are some of my favorite from my history as a wedding photographer. No lie. If you take a little breath, relax, and then look at the images, I SWEAR you will be able to feel their love!

Thanks to Kerrie Smith from the always fabulous A Stylish Soiree for coordinating this gorgeous event and for designing and creating the floral arrangements. The Robert Carr Chapel on TCU's beautiful campus was the perfect backdrop for Heather + Ben's sweet and very heartfelt ceremony and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, well...if you've been following my blog for a while, you will know that it is my absolute fave museum ever. I can't forget Will Ryan from It's Your Night did a fantastic job on the lighting at the Modern...it helped rock these images!

This cutie couple from this glam engagement session are finally official. Though poor Nissy had a cold on her wedding day, everything went off quite smoothly! It was exciting to watch the Catholic ceremony blended with Indian wedding traditions. Plus, all of the gorgeous colors made my eyes want to sing!!! This wedding was a double doozie! Over Thanksgiving weekend, in Independence, Texas, Miss Casey and Mister Billy became official. Their wedding extravaganza included golf, an incredibly intimate wedding ceremony, and a lovely dinner with music stylings of Steven Marshall. Dancing, drinkin', and huddling next to heaters were the most popular
activities, and I was so glad I was there to capture such
rich emotion and mad skillz on the dance floor. "Teach Me How to
Dougie" and "Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog" will forever be seared in my
brain!
One of the best details of the wedding was a vintage couch. Yes, couches in fields are all the rage on wedding blogs like Style Me Pretty, Ruffled, and Snippet & Ink. However, THIS couch was extremely representative of the beginning of Casey + Billy's love story. They met, years ago, on a couch in a field at Chili Fest, and knew they had met their match in each other. Their friends rallied to find an old couch, scored one and delivered the bad boy to the wedding site. Casey + Billy's friends would do anything for them, and especially help them remember the day that started this whole thing! I love authenticity, and these cats have that down pat.

Kate, love the shot of their entrance with the bridesmaids excited behind the wall...such a killer moment. And, why do church lady's almost always have a stick up their rear end....glad you pushed through. Great wedding, beautiful couple!
